Frequently asked questions

What counts as a cyber security emergency?

Ransomware on screen, accounts sending email you did not write, files encrypted or missing, logins you do not recognise, or a supplier receiving strange invoices from you. If something feels wrong, call and we will tell you quickly whether it is serious.

How fast do you respond?

Within 15 minutes for every request during opening hours, 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday. Out of hours, send the form and we pick it up first thing.

Do we need to be an existing Ingenio client?

No. Call us either way. If we can help, we will, and we tell you before any chargeable work starts.

What does incident response cost?

It depends on the incident, so we scope it on the first call and agree the cost before any chargeable work begins. The first conversation is free.

Should we have an incident response plan before anything happens?

Yes. A simple incident response plan, covering who to call, what to disconnect and where your backups live, cuts the damage of any future attack. We help clients build one as part of managed support.
