Initially, Haven Security managed their IT operations with in-house support. As technology rapidly advanced, they recognised opportunities to enhance their systems for improved efficiency and security. Their infrastructure, like many in the industry, was poised for modernisation to support evolving software needs and strengthen data protection measures. One area identified for improvement was the backup system, which needed enhancements to better protect their data. Additionally, reliance on older servers posed potential risks due to hardware not fully meeting the latest security standards.
Moreover, their IT management approach had been primarily reactive, sometimes leading to disruptions and inefficiencies. While robust, the existing setup was more complex than necessary, occasionally affecting operational smoothness. Compounding these challenges was their software approaching its end-of-life. With Windows 10 nearing the end of support, there was a timely need for an update to ensure continued secure and efficient system functionality.

We kicked off a comprehensive onboarding process, quickly identifying critical fixes and optimisations to stabilise and enhance Haven Security’s IT operations. Collaborating closely with Haven’s previous in-house IT Manager, we ensured a smooth handover, minimising disruptions and maintaining business continuity. Led by George, our team immediately tackled urgent issues such as server space inconsistencies, effectively preventing potential outages and stabilising operations from the outset.
A cornerstone of our solution was the development of a strategic IT roadmap, extending to the end of 2026. This roadmap prioritised key upgrades and modernisations, aligning with Haven Security’s long-term goals. As part of this transformation, we transitioned their systems from physical servers to cloud solutions, greatly enhancing flexibility, security, and support for remote work. Additionally, we implemented proactive monitoring software, allowing us to identify and address issues before they could escalate, shifting the focus from reactive fixes to preventative care.
