Supporting Brighton Chamber with a company-wide Windows 11 update
With approximately half of their staff still using devices running Windows 10, ahead of the October Windows 10 end-of-support deadline, we partnered with Brighton Chamber to complete a company-wide update to Windows 11.
Our team thoroughly assessed their systems and identified if any hardware needed upgrading to ensure compatibility with the new operating system. From start to finish, we worked closely with Brighton Chamber’s team to ensure the migration project was delivered on time, within budget and with minimal disruption.
THE SOLUTION
Proactive support to ensure a seamless migration and minimum disruption
To begin the Windows 11 migration project for Brighton Chamber, we first identified that 50% of their devices were still running Windows 10. We then met with CEO Sarah Springford to explain the scope of the project and outline the necessary steps. Together, we agreed on a suitable date for the update, with Sarah working closely with her team to ensure that everyone was on board.
Next, our team conducted a thorough review of Brighton Chamber’s inventory to assess the compatibility of each device with Windows 11. To minimise disruption, we selected an evening for the update and proactively contacted all staff members. We made sure they were clear on the steps they needed to take with their devices to ensure the update would be able to run smoothly. On the designated evening, we carried out the update across all devices, allowing us to avoid any disruption during business hours.
After the update, we provided support to staff as they became familiar with the new features and functions of Windows 11, which differed slightly from Windows 10. To ensure everything was running smoothly, we followed up a week later to check on progress and ensure that all staff were satisfied with the transition.
