43% of UK businesses reported a cyber breach in the last 12 months. Is yours next?

You know cyber security matters. But do you actually know where your business is vulnerable right now? Most businesses have gaps they don’t even know about: outdated firewalls, unpatched software, weak passwords, staff clicking phishing links. Our free security assessment finds them before an attacker does.

How secure is your business?

Our free security assessment gives you a clear picture of your cyber security posture: vulnerabilities, risks, and a prioritised action plan. Enter your details and we’ll arrange your assessment.

Understand your security posture before it's too late

Know exactly where you're vulnerable

Most businesses have years of security drift they don't even know about: default passwords never changed, outdated antivirus, open RDP ports, unpatched systems. Our security assessment finds all of it and gives you a clear, prioritised action plan in plain English.

Stop gambling with your business data

The average cost of a cyber breach for a UK business is £3,550, and that's before you count lost productivity, regulatory fines, and damaged reputation. Our assessment takes the guesswork out of your security posture so you can protect what matters most.

Get a clear roadmap to better security

Businesses that assess their security proactively are far less likely to suffer a damaging breach. No scrambling to respond after an attack. No expensive incident response bills. Just a clear understanding of your risks and a practical plan to address them, before something goes wrong.

Five areas we assess across your business

Our security assessment is carried out by a qualified engineer who evaluates five key areas of your IT infrastructure, scores every finding, and gives you prioritised recommendations you can act on immediately. No automated scans: a real expert reviews your setup. Here’s what’s covered:

Network and firewall security

Firewall configuration, open ports, network segmentation, and remote access security. We check whether your perimeter defences are actually protecting you, or just giving you a false sense of security.

Endpoint protection and patching

Antivirus, endpoint detection, operating system patching, and software updates across all devices. Unpatched systems are one of the most common attack vectors; we check every device is current and protected.

Email security and phishing resilience

85% of cyber attacks on UK businesses start with a phishing email. We assess your email filtering, SPF/DKIM/DMARC records, and whether your staff can spot a phishing attempt. This is your most critical line of defence.

Identity and access management

Password policies, multi-factor authentication, admin account security, and user access levels. Only 40% of UK businesses use two-factor authentication; we check yours is properly configured and enforced.

Backup and disaster recovery

Backup frequency, recovery testing, business continuity planning, and data retention. When disaster strikes (ransomware, hardware failure, or human error), can you actually recover? We test it.

YOUR SECURITY REPORT

A prioritised roadmap to better security

You’ll receive a clear security report with every finding scored and colour-coded:

🔴 Red items need fixing before you switch security on. These are the gaps that could lead to immediate data exposure. Wide-open SharePoint sites, sensitive documents with no classification, admin accounts without conditional access.

🟠 Amber items should be addressed before you scale security adoption. Inconsistent sensitivity labels, overly broad guest access, permissive sharing policies. They won’t cause a disaster on day one, but they’ll create compliance and governance issues as adoption grows across your organisation.

🟢 Green items mean you’re in good shape. Proper governance, correct permissions, appropriate controls.

Every finding comes with a specific recommendation, written in plain English. Not consultant-speak. Not a 50-page document nobody reads. A practical roadmap your team can work through to optimise your Microsoft 365 environment and leverage security safely.

What happens if you ignore security

Businesses that skip security assessments are the ones dealing with incidents after the fact, scrambling to contain breaches, paying ransoms, explaining to clients why their data was exposed, and watching their reputation take a hit that takes years to recover from.

With AI-powered attacks becoming more sophisticated by the month and regulatory requirements tightening, the cost of ignoring your security posture is only going up.

How the right security partner protects your business

Businesses that take security seriously sleep better, grow faster, and avoid the devastating costs of a breach. Here’s how it works:

Step 1: We assess

A qualified engineer reviews your network, endpoints, email, identity controls, and backup systems. We don't make any changes; we assess what's there.

Step 2: We report

We deliver your security report with every finding scored, colour-coded, and prioritised. Red, amber, green: you'll know exactly where you stand.

Step 3: You act

We walk you through every finding, answer your questions, and help you build a roadmap. Fix it yourself using our recommendations, or let us handle it.

Is this just for big companies?

No. We work with businesses of all sizes, from 10-person teams to 200+ staff. In fact, smaller businesses are often more vulnerable because they don’t have dedicated IT security staff.

If anything, smaller businesses are more likely to have oversharing issues because they’ve grown organically without a dedicated governance team cleaning up permissions behind them. That’s not a criticism. It’s just how most organisations work. And it’s exactly what a Microsoft 365 security readiness assessment is designed to catch.

  • Businesses considering security licences who want to adopt Microsoft 365 security safely
  • Organisations already using security that haven’t done a governance review
  • IT teams who need to present a clear risk picture to leadership before investing in AI
  • Any organisation using Microsoft 365 that wants insight into their current data exposure

Our Microsoft solutions are designed to align with your specific business needs, whether you’re at the start of your security journey or looking to optimise an existing deployment.

BUSINESS SECURITY ASSESSMENT

Common questions about our security assessment

What is a security assessment?

A security assessment is a structured evaluation of your IT environment across six key areas: Network and firewall security, Endpoint protection and patching, email security, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Purview data classification, and security licence readiness. The goal is to identify oversharing risks and data exposure gaps before you deploy security.

Why do I need one before deploying security?

cyber security respects your existing permissions. If files are shared too broadly or permissions have drifted over time, security will surface that data to anyone who technically has access. An assessment finds those gaps before AI amplifies them. In March 2026, Gartner named oversharing as the number one security security risk.

What do I get at the end of the assessment?

You receive an executive readiness report with every finding colour-coded: red (critical, fix before go-live), amber (moderate, fix before scaling), and green (you’re in good shape). Every red and amber finding comes with a specific, prioritised recommendation written in plain English so your team knows exactly where to start.

How long does the assessment take?

We connect to your IT infrastructure via a secure, read-only connection. The assessment itself typically takes a few days depending on the size of your environment. You’ll have your readiness report and action plan shortly after, and we’ll walk you through the findings.

Do you need admin access to our IT infrastructure?

We need read-only access to assess permissions, sharing settings, and security configurations across your tenant. We don’t make any changes to your environment. The connection is secure, scoped, and temporary.

How much does a security assessment cost?

The cost depends on the size and complexity of your IT environment. We’re happy to have a no-obligation conversation about your specific needs and give you a clear picture of what’s involved. Get in touch and we’ll talk you through it.

Is this only for businesses in Brighton or Sussex?

No. We’re based in Brighton but our security assessments are delivered remotely. We work with businesses of all sizes across the UK. Whether you’re in London, Manchester, Edinburgh or anywhere in between, we can assess your environment and have your report ready within days.

We've already deployed security. Is it too late?

Not at all. If you’ve deployed security without doing a governance review first, an assessment is even more important. We can identify what’s currently exposed and give you a prioritised plan to lock things down. Better to fix it now than find out the hard way.

What happens after we get the report?

We walk you through every finding and recommendation. If you want help implementing the fixes, we can do that too. We work as a partner through the whole process, from assessment through to safe security deployment and ongoing adoption support.
